Zensations Further Expands Accessibility Services

Zensations

The Viennese digital agency Zensations Web & Communications boasts years of experience in implementing accessible web solutions. This expertise has been applied to projects for organisations such as the Association of the Blind and Visually Impaired, Disability Performance, Vienna Airport, and the Austrian National Union of Students. After all, performance enhancement, excellent usability, and a high user experience are now considered standard requirements for digital presences.

Jo Spelbrink Joins the Agency Team

Zensations is now further expanding this expertise and has brought accessibility expert, co-founder of Accessible Media, and chairman Jo Spelbrink on board. He will be primarily responsible for delivering these services, which will be bundled under the new brand Zensibility. This will include a broad and continuously growing range of the agency's offerings related to accessibility.

The 41-year-old, born in Salzburg, has been working as a Drupal developer and accessibility expert at Zensations since September 2015. He has been dedicated to accessibility since 2001, continuously sharing his knowledge nationally and internationally through workshops and lectures. Spelbrink is also a co-organiser of the A-Tag, the most important event for accessible internet in the German-speaking world.

“Zensibility” Website Checks & Workshops

Is your website implemented accessibly? Are the WCAG 2.0 success criteria met, or is there room for optimisation? The Zensibility Website Check tests the optimal accessibility of web services, generates a personalised audit report, and develops suggestions for potential optimisation. “It's not about optimising websites for specific target groups, but about generally increasing user experience, performance, and usability,” says Zensations Managing Director Sabrina Hanneman.

The Zensibility Workshops offer another personalised service. Companies can conduct tailored workshops on accessibility, addressing their individual needs. The range of services is comprehensive, whether it concerns the current website, videos, or the design of accessible PDFs. “Especially in large companies, we often see the need to build internal expertise in accessibility and to show employees what truly matters when it comes to accessibility. Many people still associate accessibility with a wheelchair ramp, and it is precisely this cliché we want to abolish,” adds Jo Spelbrink.
