What it's about

Accessibility isn't a checkbox. It's reach.

An accessible website makes content usable for blind, low-vision and deaf people too. Screen readers, braille displays and keyboard control need to work reliably. Intuitive navigation, semantically correct content, responsive layouts and a clear separation of content and layout are the foundation.

You reach roughly a fifth more people, meet legal requirements, and get a website that's faster and clearer for everyone as a side effect.

What you get out of it

  • Reach more people
  • Reduce legal risk early
  • Improve usability and clarity for everyone
  • Embed accessibility in your team long term
Your situation

Does this sound familiar? Then we have a solution.

Uncertainty about the Accessibility Act.

We assess your status, prioritise by risk, and deliver the accessibility statement along with it.

The tool says green, users still fail.

Manual tests with screen reader, keyboard and braille display show what automated checks never find.

Barriers creep back in after the relaunch.

Training, editorial guidelines and quality assurance embed accessibility into your team's everyday work.

In detail

The four principles, translated into practice.

Perceivable

Information must be presented so people can perceive it regardless of individual ability, through alt text, captions and sufficient contrast.

Operable

Navigation, forms and interactive elements work with keyboard and assistive technology on desktop, tablet and phone.

Understandable & robust

Clear language, predictable flows and semantically correct code keep content understandable and processable by different assistive tools.

What accessibility means in practice

An accessible digital offering follows the four principles perceivable, operable, understandable and robust, backed by twelve guidelines and up to 56 success criteria depending on the conformance level. That includes a strict separation of content and layout, responsive rendering across all devices, intuitive navigation, semantically correct markup, full keyboard access and input assistance. To be honest: 100 percent accessible does not exist. What matters is implementing the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines consistently and verifiably.

Why accessibility pays off

Accessible web design improves your search engine ranking, increases visits and reach because you no longer exclude anyone. It demonstrates social responsibility. And because cleanly structured websites are built more sustainably, you save later costs for fixes and changes.

Frequently asked questions

Clarity before you start.

Don't see your question? We'll answer it personally, no sales pitch attached.

office@zensations.at
Is an automated accessibility check enough?

No. Automated tools only catch part of the barriers. A reliable assessment needs manual testing and expert judgement.

Does Zensations work to WCAG 2.2?

Yes. We base our audits and implementations on current Web Content Accessibility Guidelines and the legal requirements relevant to your offering.

Can an existing website become accessible?

In many cases, yes. An audit shows which improvements make sense on the existing site and when a relaunch would be more economical.
