Comprehensive Service for Newspaper Readers

Project Comprehensive Service for Newspaper Readers

Mediaprint: to optimise the digital distribution of subscription and loyalty club products, plus the service area for Krone and Kurier, the agency ran a complete redesign focused on accessibility and user experience. The goal was to reduce service requests, give users a great self-service environment, and boost sales of publisher products. First, existing areas and the customer feedback the group had gathered were evaluated and redesigned from the ground up using state-of-the-art web design methodology. The concept was then visualised as clickable wireframes to simulate user interactions and workflows. Only after that were the wireframes turned into styled mockups, shared via InVision so stakeholders could test the new design ahead of time. Using this process, the Krone & Kurier advent calendar and the vignette bingo were also completely reworked alongside the three areas mentioned above.

A central requirement of the project was of course the technical framework the new user interface had to fit into. With the many publishing systems and workflows powering content, every idea had to be checked for technical feasibility. The result was a flexible, reusable component system that allows new page types to be built quickly and fits perfectly into Mediaprint's system landscape. The project delivered a clear boost in revenue and a significant drop in service requests.
