Zensations Implements Website Relaunch for the Austrian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted
In close collaboration with the Austrian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted, the Zensations team has spent the last few months working on the graphic and technical relaunch of the website www.hilfsgemeinschaft.at.
The website was implemented using the Drupal 7 Content Management Framework. Intuitive usability and easily accessible content were the focus during the conception phase. “Especially for visually impaired people, it is crucial that website content is accessible, reachable with assistive technologies, and available on any device,” says Zensations Managing Director Sabrina Hanneman.
Furthermore, implementing state-of-the-art technologies such as HTML5 and Responsive Design, and adhering to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines of the Web Accessibility Initiative, were top priorities. “It was important for us, as a modern aid organisation, to also have a contemporary and appealing web presence — we have achieved this with the new website,” concludes Irene Vogel, Managing Director of the Association. This is already the second project where Zensations has had the opportunity to support the Austrian Association of the Blind and Partially Sighted. Last May, the information platform www.augengesundheit.at was launched, which focuses on topics related to eye health and eye care.
