Augmented Reality for more Diversity in the Marketing Mix: Zensations releases Face Filter for Life Ball 2019
“United in Diversity” is the motto this coming Saturday for the 26th and final Life Ball, an event that has become a true institution in Vienna and worldwide. The theme of diversity has also accompanied the Viennese digital agency Zensations since its founding phase. Not least because of its commitment to web accessibility and inclusion.
The agency now also offers the implementation of Augmented Reality (AR) face filters for Facebook Stories. These filters can be used with the camera mode directly within the Facebook app. Timely for the Life Ball, a face filter has been developed, which is now available for all Facebook users on mobile via the following link. Entirely in the spirit of this year's motto, the filter unites two perspectives on the user's face. The graphic elements are inspired by the Life Ball style guide and show that everyone has a masculine and feminine side within them, but also much more.
Already for the Eurovision Song Contest 2019, a filter went live, allowing Song Contest fans to express their support for a participating country. By swiping, one can select the country to which they wish to award 12 points. The filter does the rest, adorning the user with fan make-up in the respective national colours. In just a few hours, almost 9,000 people were reached through it.
“Augmented Reality applications of all kinds are experiencing a boom and offer a space full of new possibilities in marketing. They create a new level of interaction that is particularly exciting for brands. This year, we have further promising projects in the pipeline,” says Sabrina Hanneman, founder and managing director of Zensations.
