In just under two weeks, the time has finally come! From 22nd to 24th November, the second DrupalCamp Vienna by the Drupal Austria Community will take place at FH Technikum Wien. Three exciting days await us with numerous sessions from national and international top speakers, a TrainingDay on 21.11, and a Code Sprint on 24.11. *As a web agency, and especially one specialised in technical implementation with Drupal, we certainly can't miss these three days.*
The DrupalCamp operates under the motto “Connecting Open Minds”, with a focus on exchanging ideas within Open Content Management System communities, various tools, and naturally, the upcoming changes in Drupal 8. These primarily include the core integration of Symfony 2 and Views, the simplified handling of multilingual content, and object-oriented development.
Trainings, Sessions, Code Sprint, and Party
Before the actual sessions commence, Thursday is dedicated to trainings at the Microsoft HQ. From our side, Philipp and Sebastian will lead the training “Drupal Frontend on Steroids”, where interested developers can learn what can be achieved with the right tools and techniques in theming. SASS, Compass, Grid frameworks, and pre-processors for workflow optimisation will be applied, as will the correct use of the Panels module. If you wish to participate, you should hurry. Only one ticket remains available.
At the sessions, we can look forward to a great deal of variety. Entity API, Field API, Multilingual, Commerce, Javascript, Symfony, PHP, Pricing, or Project Management are just a few keywords that will play a crucial role at this conference. Currently, participants from 24 nations are expected for the 37 sessions, and there are sure to be even more.
Sunday will feature the traditional Code Sprint. Those who cannot get enough and wish to extend their stay in Vienna can also attend the “Extended Sprints” on 25th and 26th November.
As is customary for a DrupalCamp, there will, of course, be a proper celebration. Where? At Celeste! When? Friday evening! We are really looking forward to it – who among you will be joining us?
